This shoe features Mizuno Infinity Wave technology throughout the entire length of the shoe which is highly renowned for both its underfoot feel and design. This technology has two parallel plates that sit together with soft cushioning pillars in-between to provide incredible cushioning and improved durability by absorbing and dispersing the impact of running at each foot strike.

An Airmesh upper allows the Prophecy 12 to be incredibly comfortable and breathable. The fresh new design of this shoe is paired with sustainability updates to be more environmentally friendly.

Mizuno’s X10 Outsole material is an extremely durable carbon runner that allows for longer wear in high-impact areas and gives more traction at the heel strike.

The upper has been redesigned in not-good ways

I have been wearing the Mizuno Wave Prophecy for many years and loving it. The version before this one (v.8) has been an amazing shoe. It's like running on springs ... in a good way! Lots of shock absorption (excellent for pavement!) with a nice bouncy energy return. There's really nothing else like it! And the upper was super comfortable. And herein lies the problem with v.12. The toe box is way too narrow and the tongue is way too long and stiff. It rubs against the ankle in an uncomfortable way. The iconic spring in your step is still there but the upper is just too uncomfortable for anything like a long run. Mizuno PLEASE BRING BACK THE OLD DESIGN!
