How to Choose the Right Superfeet Insole
Buyer's Guide | Fleet Feet
What Superfeet Can Do For You
Similar to orthotics, Superfeet Insoles add comfortable arch and heel support to your footwear.
Superfeet insoles can be a useful tool for:
- Controlling over-pronation or supination.
- Relief from plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendonitis, foot, ankle, heel, knee, hip and lower back pain.
- Reducing the risk of injury from running, walking and other activities.
5 Problems Insoles Can Solve
What’s the Difference Between Superfeet Insole Colors?
Superfeet insoles come in a variety of arch shapes, profiles, cushion levels, and support. Below we define what each specification means for your foot and comfort.
- Support (responsive or dynamic?): This refers to the structure of the insole beneath your heel and arch. Responsive support means your Superfeet will have a firm feel in the arch and heel. Dynamic support means the insole will flex with your foot and arch as you move through your gait.
- Arch Shape: The shape and height of the insole beneath your arches and heel. If your feet have high arches, you may prefer Superfeet with a medium-high arch shape. If you have flat feet or low arches, look for something with a low-medium arch shape. If you are not sure what type of arch you have, visit one of our Fleet Feet locations for a fitid® 3D scan.
- Insole Thickness: The amount of space the insole will take up in your shoe. Models with a max thickness use more space and work best in footwear with a removable liner. Low to medium thickness Superfeet take up less space and work well in moderate-tight fitting footwear, even some without removable liners.
- Cushion: Ranging from soft to firm, Superfeet offers a variety of cushion levels from memory foam to full-length AeroSpring Rebound foam with gel in the heel.
How to Pick the Best Superfeet for You?
Everyone’s feet are different. So when deciding what Superfeet you need, first know that there is no single best insole for everyone.
So how do you choose between Superfeet All-Purpose Support, Run Dynamic Cushion and Run Support among many others?
Your arch height, foot shape, instep and lifestyle can be helpful indicators, but ultimately, your comfort and intended use will be the best way to choose which Superfeet you need.
To help you narrow it down, we’ve put together a list of the best Superfeet Insoles for running, walking, work, casual wear, sports, pain relief, plantar fasciitis, flat feet and all-around use while pointing out some key differences between them so you can find the perfect fit and support.
