- Upper: IdealKnit mesh gives you structure and security throughout the midfoot and this upper features a more accommodating fit. Asymmetrical lacing and Karhu's MLock features a nice snug fit around the arch, while the stretchy upper is accommodating for many foot shapes.
- Midsole: An enhanced AeroFoam midsole material with a thick stack height that gives you maximum cushion. A deeper Fulcrum acts like a lever, encapsulating the foot while giving you guidance, smooth transitions and additional toe spring to let you roll effortlessly through your runs. Your foot sits into the foam, cradling it for a plush experience.

Super cushioned on heels my 2nd pair
5 Star. Karhu has become one of my go-to brands. The Mestari Run is a great design for walking with a lot of cushion and heel comfort. The inside arch area dips inward fairly deep so they may not be comfortable for wider feet at Standard width. If you want this same style but less cushioned with a more stable grounded feeling needed for weight lifting at the gym go for the Fusion 4 model instead. I loved the Mestari Run for everyday wear so much I bought a 2nd pair. I would recommend you spray them with a good sneaker/vinyl safe waterproofer if you get the off white color because mesh always collects dirt easy but it's a well made good quality comfortable shoe!

Running long miles in these!
I bought these for a recent half and a coming full marathon and am so grateful for the cushion and the space for my wide foot. Nearly a hundred miles on them already and I’m still smiling. Tongue doesn’t slide and I don’t seem to need to lace them differently for my high arch and instep. Good ventilation too. Plus they’re blue and Jody from Fleet Feet really took the time to help me find the right shoe for me. I demoed the Ikoni and really liked it too.
