Too narrow
I have some Altra trail shoes that are amazing - wide roomy and their classic toe box has my feet feeling amazing. I figured these road shoes would be similar. Unfortunately Altra seems to be slowly narrowing their shoes. These ones don’t come in a wide size either. I returned these.
Altra FWD
Great show. I have been wearing Hoka Clifton's and did not like the 9 as much as previous years' shoes. So when Altra came out with this shoe and the 4mm drop I wanted to try them. It took my foot a few runs/weeks to get to used to them but they are great! Love the width in the toe box the bounce in the sole and the cushion around the achilles/heel

My new favourite shoe!
I love this shoe. The rocker is subtle. The 4 mm drop is perfect. Comfortable upper good laces. I ran a marathon in them and they were great!

Wanted to love it
I love the look of the shoe! The cushioning overall is great and the width in the toe box is perfect. However the extra padding in the heel area is too much for me. It created pressure that made wearing the shoe uncomfortable which is unfortunate for an otherwise very comfortable shoe!
The Best yet!
I’ve only worn Altra’s for years. They have been the most comfortable shoe for my foot by far! But this latest design takes the cake. I didn’t know I could like Altra’s more than I already did- but they’ve outdone themselves!
Most comfortable shoe I've been recommended so far
This was my 3rd pair of shoes bought at Fleet feet. And this was the only time I've felt the sales associate listened to what I was saying about my issues reeled to pain with walking. I picked this out of the 3 shoes she recommended and they have been super comfortable and I've had less pain when walking. I do wish they came in darker colors other than solid black. In store there was just white or gray. The gray might as well be white.
