Men's On Cloudmonster Lumos

I'm definitely a fan of these shoes after recently starting to run on the treadmill with Brooks Glycerine and on the trails with Hoka Speedgoat trail shoes. I was fortunate to have the chance to acquire several pairs of shoes after committing to this journey and even though I enjoy my Brooks Glycerine I later tried on the On Cloudstratus which seemed to be a game changer for me so much so that I did a little more research and found that for my criteria (I'm a heavier runner) I might benefit even more from the Cloudmonster.I am convinced that this shoe is the *only* reason I am able to be participating in my couch to 5k efforts again. Running with these has me running without knee pain without blistering and without as much effort as I had perceived in the past. As I move through some milestones especially the weight loss milestones I believe that almost any shoe would be way greater than adequate for me as a runner. For reference I am 6'3 and I weighed 260lbs when I started. I'm now just over 250lbs hoping to move closer to 220lbs over time. Whether this happens or not the fact that I went through so many running struggles prior to finding On shoes leads me to believe that On was my solution for the given situation I am approaching from.I had a several years old pair of Brooks (Ghost) that is a size 11 and fits great. After running for the first time after the fact several years later in those shoes I found the cushioning to be inadequate. I stopped by Fleet Feet and found some amazing Brooks Glycerine but the size of this current lineup for me was a 12. My Hoka trail shoes are also a 12. For On my size is 11.5. The point of this is that you should absolutely stop by your local Fleet Feet to try some On so you can find your correct fit as it could vary slightly from the other brands you might have already Once you find your size in On you can order online and the sizing is consistent across the brand. I now have Cloudstratus Cloudmonster and Cloudaway in my lineup and every one of those shoes has helped me to ease into running a bit more quickly than any other brand so far.I look forward to my continued experience with these shoes! If you are a heavier runner just starting out you may want to start with these. You can even do a bit of research and you will find that quite a few on their feet all day professionals wear On shoes just because of the level of comfort they provide from even just standing in place for a significant amount of time. To me that translates into these *also* make quite a difference when running on hard flat surfaces and/or the treadmill.
