After using the Hoka Bondis these seem to hit the sweet spot.

They Mach 5 cut across the front of my foot where the shoe laces tie. I tried tying the shoe different ways same result. I've been wearing Hoka's for over 10 years. They changed the Clifton. The 9 stabs me under the ankle and the Mach 5 runs hard and cuts me across the top of the foot. I ran my last marathon in Brooks more comfort and stability. Very sad at the subtle changes made to the Clifton that no longer fit me correctly and the Mach 5 very uncomfortable in many ways. Time to move on.

So many people swear by these and I needed to replace my long distance shoes. I have always stayed away from Hokas for my reasons. I decided to swallow some pride and bought these. For comfort yes super comfortable. Everything else is just alright. I didn’t like how the outer sole is just foam. I slipped a couple of times. They aren’t as durable as others nor are they as fast. I get why people like them but not my cup of tea. For comfortable recovery runs and some nice casual long distance work I’ll stick with the NB 1080s. For faster long distance I’ll keep the Saucony Endo Speeds and for tempo workouts and race day hands down ASICS Magic Speeds.

I really liked the Mach 4 but this is a good replacement. The shoe seems slightly wider though than the previous. Still better than any of the other running shoes I tried.

Fantastic shoes. Those first few runs in new Hoka’s are always awesome. Only downside is durability. These shoes will wear out after at most 6 months. However the price point makes not a bad hit. Overall great shoe especially paired with your unique insole.

Amazing long distance trainer and racing shoe would 100% recommend to my close friends.

Great shoe thought Mach 4 was a bit better firmer contact feel

Mach 5 is very fast for a 8.2 OZ shoe. The moment I put them on I felt like I was going to run well. I ran 2 half marathons and on them and I’m very happy 😃. Great all around shoe for training and racing.

Love them! Best running shoes I have ever worn. Already to get second pair for outdoor running too.

I needed to get a pair of daily pair of training shoes and these serve that purpose well. The cushioning feels great and the upper layer provides breathability of my feet. The colors really stand out! I don't recommend anyone to wear this in non-urban terrains if you have the white-colored version of this model.

Love Hoko that rare combination of supportive and light weight features. Durable and consistent.One of the few running shoe options that provide a wide range of sizes especially <8. Many other shoes don't have inventory

My first mach 5s are exactly as advertised. Cushiony like pillows but enough rebound for the occasional run. The unique thin tongue and extremely light design will keep me buying hokas for many years.

Good shoe and great service to get it. I prefer a little more cushion though.

I was waiting on release of new Clifton but could not wait any longer I bought the new Mach 5. I absolutely love this shoe so sailing all the way super lightweight and love the new colors. I have found my new go to shoe for training and will be wearing next weekend in a 10k!
