The Gaviota 5 is HOKA's max-support road shoe, built for runners who need substantial stability and don't want to sacrifice cushioning to get it.
The HOKA Gaviota 5 brings comfort and stability to the next level.
Soft and comfortable, you will feel like you are walking on clouds in the new Gaviota 5. HOKA re-engineered this stability shoe with an intuitive H-Frame base and wider platform to give you a smooth and stable ride that is perfect for those with flexible arches or who overpronate.
The luxury feel continues in the upper with a breathable, creel jacquard upper. A gusseted tongue hugs your foot in place, while the heel pull tab makes it easy to slip on and off. Some of our reviewers did think that this shoe ran a little large in our HOKA Gaviota 5 review, so if you are in between sizes, you may want to consider sizing down.
The HOKA Gaviota 5 brings softness and stability to the next level whether you are working on your feet all day or running a marathon.

Got them for my husband and he really likes them! Likes the fit, comfort, and cushion stability.
I've worn the Gaviota now for nearly 3 years and they have seemed to be the one thing that can help me endure my working and being on my feet all day. I've had 3 pair and know this is the style that I need for stability thanks to the help of your team at both of the Fleet Feet stores in the Greensboro area. When it was time to update my next black pair, I saw that the Gaviota 5 had gone on clearance due to the recent release of the Gaviota 6. I'm not picking so getting a better deal on a pair that I had already been wearing seemed just fine for me. As you can tell my order was for the 5s but when my order arrived at my doorstep they turned out to be the new 6s. Whether this was a mistake or not I was mostly concerned that I was charged for the full price of the new 6s but I was only charged for the clearance price for what I was expecting in the 5s. Thank you for taking care of a valued customer and will continue to be in the future.
I own 5 pairs and love them all
run on sidewalks, highly recommend for hard surfaces
Theyโre great. I love them.
Good on both counts
This is the second pair of the Goviota line, they seem to be better in each version. I need a shoe that has solid support and room for the wider part of the ball of the foot. I am not as nimble as I once was and my army duty has flatten my feet. I need the heavier padding, this works for me. I prefer no colors, black on black is how I want my shoes. Hoka shoes have just the right amount of space in the toe box.
I really like these shoes, equal to the Brooks beast that I have. They offer more cushion and are as wide in the toe box as my 4E Brooks, although the Hoka is only an extra wide.
Fit perfect very comfortable
