As a runner, you want to be sure to eat the right foods to run your best, but also don't want to eat foods that will jeopardize weight loss/maintenance efforts. Join us for this free clinic and learn how to eat properly to maximize your performance while also maintaining a weight management program. Eating to run is much different than running to burn calories that you’ve already eaten. Athletes need a special type of energy to sustain long training runs and recover properly. And, if you’re new to running you should learn how to fuel your body the right way for this new activity.
After the seminar, there will be vendors on hand with samples for you to try and to answer your questions about the products. There will be in-store deals for all clinic attendees.
This one-hour presentation will feature Katina Sayers-Walker, Ed.D. who has an extensive background in health and education that began with degrees in exercise physiology, health and physical education, community health, and culminating with a doctoral degree in curriculum and instruction. She completed her Integrative Nutrition and Health Coaching Certification, from the world's top nutrition experts, at the renowned Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN). Additionally, she is the Nutrition & Health Project Manager at Elmcrest Children's Center in Syracuse.
