Harvest Food Drives

This Fall we are hosting two food drives through our stores. We invite you to donate to both of these organizations and help the growing food need of our communities. We will be collecting donations from October 25 - November 25.

Donations made at our Ballard store will go to the Ballard Food Bank. We also invite you to make monetary donations through their website.

Donations made at our Capitol Hill store will go to Byrd Barr Place. We also invite you to make monetary donations through their website.

Wish List Food Items for Ballard:
Soups and chili
Peanut Butter
Individual cereals and full box cereals
8 oz shelf stable juice boxes
Shelf stable milk boxes
Shelf-stable alternative milks
Meal in a can: chili, ravioli, spaghetti-o’s
Mac and Cheese*
Granola bars’*
Individual packages of nuts or trail mix*
Single-serve instant oatmeal*
Snack size fruit cups (in their own fruit juices)*

*Especially needed for Weekend Food for Kids program

 

Wish List Food Items for Capitol Hill:
Canned Pineapple
Rice (very hot commodity)
Broth -chicken, beef, vegetable
Raisins
Nuts
Tofu
Canned fish or smoked fish
Any canned or packaged protein (pop-top cans is ideal)
Meals in a can, ravioli, beef stew, chicken noodle soup
Condiments
Cooking oil
Rice noodles
Tortillas
Tea or ground coffee
Cereal or granola or oats (Individual servings are great for our houseless clients)
Individual meals like Mac N Cheese, or the Indian Curries, Uncle Ben's rice, ones that are easy for folks to prepare; simply add water, or microwave.
Emergen-C or other water-soluble vitamin C drink products
Vitamins/Supplements, like Vitamin D or other daily vitamins to boost immune system
