We make an official decision on all weather related changes to scheduled events/practices as soon as reasonably possible.  We do not necessarily cancel events/practices based upon forecasts, but when conditions are unsafe or we expect them to be unsafe at any point during the course of the event.  The safety of all participants is critical.  Events/practices will not be rescheduled or postponed.

Weather alerts will be posted on this site and broadcast via the Fleet Feet Sports Winston-Salem Facebook page. 

We will send out a cancellation notice for weekday practices by 4PM and by 6AM for Saturday AM practices.  In questionable conditions, we may cancel a practice right up until the start time if participant safety is at risk. 

Winter Weather

Fleet Feet Sports will cancel a group training session if the following dangers are present:

Extreme cold conditions
Thunderstorm - lightning is present
Any other dangerous weather conditions, such as ice storm, hail, extremely poor visibility, etc.
We will NOT cancel a session if it is simply raining or snowing - you never know what may happen on race day, so let's be prepared for anything!

Summer Weather

Fleet Feet Sports will cancel a group training session if the following dangers are present:

Extreme heat conditions
Thunderstorm - lightning is present
Tornado warnings and/or High winds
Any other dangerous weather conditions, such as hail, extremely poor visibility, etc.
We will NOT cancel a session if it is simply raining - you never know what may happen on race day, so let's be prepared for anything!
