Our private coaching option will provide:
- Initial 45-minute in-person run assessment that includes a review of your goals, video gait analysis and an initial strength, balance and mobility assessment. This can be done as a standalone service and costs $100. If you sign up for a private coaching program after the initial assessment, this payment will be credited towards your coaching program price.
- You'll be coached by an experienced adult and youth coach (USATF coaching registration: here)
- Personalized training program
- Nutrition, hydration, strength and stretching plans
- Coaching can be in-person or virtual, or a combination of both
- Personalized race plan and post-race analysis
- Pricing varies based on frequency of communication and length of participation
- All clients receive 10% off all in-store, regularly-priced product at Fleet Feet Westport while being coached
- All ages and abilities welcome! We work with youth and adult athletes.
Our Coaching Philosophy: We don't seek out and coach just elite athletes. Our goal is to bring out the best in you, no matter what your performance level or experience with the sport of running. We also work with athletes in other sports who are looking to improve their form, power, agility, mobiliy or any combination of these areas. We use a comprehensive training approach that focuses on your health and safety as well as long term physical and mental health. Every coaching experience is unique and tailored to the individual.
About Your Coach:

Choosing a coach should be a very personal decision based on knowledge, personality and goals. Sometimes the fit isn't right, and that's okay.
Dave Wright, Owner of Fleet Feet Westport, has been coaching athletes for over two decades. He holds USATF and UESCA coaching certifications and has worked as an Assistant Coach with the Staples High School track and field team. He's also a Masters U.S. Track & Field qualifier, NYRR Coach and 20x Boston Marathon Qualifier. He prioritizes injury-free training and a focus on healthspan and wellness through all aspects of training - exercise, mental and physical health. He has a wealth of knowledge with athlete biomechanics and run form. Dave will challenge the athlete and attempt to bring out the very best in them.
