The Tuscaloosa Runners' Championship (TRC) is a season-long points series connecting the best local races in Tuscaloosa into one cohesive competitive season. From the Season Opener in October to the Championship Finale in May, runners earn points at every event toward a citywide leaderboard.

Whether you're a competitive runner chasing an age group title or a recreational runner who wants to stay motivated all year — the TRC is built for you. Every finisher scores points. Every age group has a champion.

Run partner races

Register and run any TRC partner race. Each race has its own entry fee. Finish the race and you're earning points — automatically.

Chase the standings

Your best 5 of 6 results count. Standings update after every race. Top runners in each age group compete for titles at the Championship Finale.

Note: TRC series registration does not cover entry fees for individual partner races. Each race is registered separately.

Points are awarded for your overall finish position at each race. Every finisher earns a participation bonus on top — so you don't have to be elite to compete in the TRC.

Finisher bonus
Every runner who crosses the finish line earns 5 points, regardless of place.

The TRC crowns champions across all age groups — not just the fastest runners overall. Age groups are split by Male, Female, and Non-Binary, and are determined by your age on October 3, 2026.

Your age group is locked on October 3, 2026 — the date of the Season Opener — and stays fixed for the entire season, even if you have a birthday mid-season. Age group awards at individual partner races are determined separately by each race director.
