This is perfect for runners who want to improve at the 5k to 4 mile race distance, complete their first Sleepy Kraken RunYak or gain more knowledge in the sport of running. A variety of training techniques will be incorporated in this 8-week program to help improve your speed, strength, and running economy. Your coach and mentors will work to carefully balance mileage and speed work to help you avoid injury and race your best!
At the end of the 8 week training program, participants will have the opportunity to complete a one of the multiple race options on Saturday, June 10, 2023 - The Big Run x Sleepy Kraken RunYak presented by Tuscaloosa Track Club & Brooks (more details to come!!).
