Here's what you can expect at your visit.

When you arrive, just let the staff know you were referred by your doctor or therapist. That context helps your Outfitter understand what you're dealing with — whether it's plantar fasciitis, post-surgical recovery, knee pain, or something else — so they can focus on the right solutions from the start.

The fit process is free and takes about 30–45 minutes:

1. 3D foot scan — You'll step onto Fleet Feet's fit id® scanner, which measures your foot length, width, and arch height in seconds. You'll actually get to see a 3D model of your own feet, which is pretty cool. You can even share this scan with your doctor or therapist.
2. Gait analysis — Your Outfitter will watch how you walk or run to understand how your foot moves and where you may need extra support.
3. Personalized recommendations — Based on your scan, your gait, and the specific condition your provider mentioned, your Outfitter will pull shoes, insoles, compression, or other products that make sense for your situation. You're never just handed a shoe off the wall.
4. Try everything on — You'll try on multiple options and walk (or run) in them in the store. Nothing gets decided until it feels right to you.

What to bring or wear:

• Any orthotics or insoles your doctor has prescribed — bring them so your Outfitter can work with them
• Comfortable socks, or ask for a pair in-store
• If you have a referral pad or written notes from your provider, bring those too

What you won't experience: a pushy sales environment. Fleet Feet's model is built around the fit, not the transaction. If something doesn't feel right, we'll keep looking.

After your visit, your foot profile is saved so you can reference it for future purchases in-store or online.
