Emphasis will be on advancing endurance and safe group-riding skills. A standard road bike with drop bars, multiple gears and slick tires is highly recommended. Triathlon/time-trial bikes and hybrid bikes are allowed. No mountain/fat bikes. Participants should have a working knowledge of their bicycle (including braking and changing gears) and be able to ride at least one hour at 10-12 miles per hour by the start of the program. |
