Not at all. Fleet Feet Tucson training programs and group runs are designed for runners and walkers of different paces and goals. Many programs include pace groups, walk/run options, and beginner-friendly support.

Yes. Many participants use walk/run intervals as part of their training, especially beginners and runners returning after time away. We use a specific walk/run schedule for our No Boundaries Beginner 5K Program.
Can walkers join your programs?
Absolutely. Fleet Feet Tucson welcomes walkers and individuals focused on fitness, movement, and community — not just racing.
What if I've never run before?
That’s completely okay. Many participants join our programs with little or no previous running experience. Our coaches and community are here to support you every step of the way.
Do I need to train for a race to join?
No. Some participants train for races, while others join for accountability, fitness, consistency, social connection, or personal wellness goals.
Where do your group runs meet?
Group runs and training sessions may meet at Fleet Feet Tucson locations, local Tucson running routes, parks, tracks, or trail systems depending on the program.
What races do your programs prepare for?

How often do training groups meet?
Schedules can vary depending on the program, season, and training cycle, buy our programs generally meet 2 times a week on Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings.
Is there a cost to join?
Our weekly Thirsty Thursday Community Run is free, while structured training programs may require registration fees. Program details are available on individual training pages.
