Our 5k training is designed with the beginner runner in mind. Our goal is to build your confidence by providing an approachable training plan, regular dialogue with a coach and strategies to help you run smarter and grow to enjoy the amazing sport of running. You'll have the opportunity to meet others that share similar goals, hold yourself accountable to a training plan that fits your individual needs and gear up with awesome in-store discounts. Your coach and mentors are ready to meet you where you're at and build you up to achieve your running goals!

- Starts: First group practice is Tuesday, June 11th at 5:30 pm
- Program Length: 8 weeks
- Ends: Saturday, August 3rd at the Summer Splash 5K
DETAILS
- Objective Distance: We're training to run the Summer Splash 5k on Saturday, August 3rd. We welcome runners in our Tri-Cities community training for other races and are happy to adjust your plan to meet your goals.
- Experience Level: Training plans will be geared towards two different race-day goals:
- Interval to Finish (Walk/Run to the finish line)
- Run to Finish (Steady pace to the finish line)
- Connect: Our Ignite! Training Facebook Group is a great way to share photos and connect with the other runners outside of meetup times.
- Price: $49 + tax and processing fees

MEET YOUR IGNITE! COACH: KRISTIN SCHROLL (EMAIL)
I have been a competitive runner since I was 12 years old, when I joined my middle school's track and field team. Initially, I had no idea what I was doing or what events I wanted to participate in. However, by the time I got to high school, I had found my niche in middle-distance events, jumping, and heptathlons. As I continued to grow as an athlete, I eventually joined the cross-country team and began running distance events in my senior year, which led me to run at the collegiate level. Unfortunately, I had to end my running career at Eastern Washington University due to several injuries. After a six-year break from running, I focused on strength training, and since then, I have run one full marathon, three half-marathons, a few 5Ks and more. Currently, I am part of a local running club out of Tacoma, WA, and I enjoy being a part of the running community. I have had the honor of coaching Fleet Feet Ignite! training groups several times and I am excited about coaching more sessions and creating new memories! What I love most about coaching at Fleet Feet is that it gives me the opportunity to work with the community and assist others in discovering and achieving their full potential.
