Our Begin to Tri training program places an emphasis on creating a fun, comfortable and motivating atmosphere for learning the fundamentals of swimming, biking, running, transitions, equipment, nutrition, mental preparation and race day planning.
The Fleet Feet Intermediate Program is designed for triathletes who are seeking to either improve their performance in the Sprint Distance Triathlon or to move up to the Olympic Distance race (.9 mile swim/ 25 mile bike/10k run.)
While there may be varying levels of ability within the program there is an expectation that athletes take responsibility for road safety, knowing the cycling routes (maps will be supplied), and maintenance of their bicycles.

The Spring Tri Program sessions begin the first week of May and runs through mid-August.
- Swim practices are held at Lemoyne College Pool for the first 7 weeks, with Tuesday night being for the Intermediate Level at 6:30 PM, and Wednesday being the Beginner Level Sessions with the choice of either the 6:30 PM or the 7:45 PM session. (Sessions will be filled on a first come, first serve basis.) Starting the week of June 21 for six weeks both Intermediate and Beginner Groups will practice open water swimming on TUESDAY nights at Jamesville Beach for the first 4 weeks, and then at Oneida Shores for the final two weeks. Those sessions will begin at 6 PM, and will include transition practices and mini-triathlons.Fleet Feet Tri will be conducting their own mini-triathlon practice sessions in the final three weeks Tuesday night sessions.
- All Cycling/Running Practices will be held on Saturday Mornings at 7 am.Cycling groups will meet at various locations throughout the county to ensure a variety of scenic routes geared to the various skill levels, and will include specific practices on the Irongirl, Gillie Girl, Cazenovia, and Delta Lake courses.
Who: Anyone looking to improve Triathlon skills, both beginner and intermediate groups available
How Much: $299 for the spring session or $649 for the full year (spring, fall and winter sessions). Price includes access to our running programs and cross training classes during that time.
Goal Events: The program has traditionally fielded large contingents at the Irongirl, Gillie Girl, Delta and Cazenovia Races, but the choice of race is left up to the athlete.NOTE: The Program does not include registration to any of theses races; that is the responsibility of the athlete.
