Marketing Team Member:
Event planner, writer and medical outreach professional
Job Description: Fleet Feet Sports, Syracuse is seeking a marketing professional to join its marketing department for a full time position. This candidate will focus on event planning, newsletter and social media writing, as well as being heavily involved in medical outreach to area doctors. This position will report to the marketing manager.

Qualifications: A successful candidate will demonstrate the following:
- Excellent writing skills
- Experience in media relations preferred
- Passion for social media and creative marketing
- Experience in event planning
- Willingness and ability to present to doctors
- Ability to multi-task
- Detail-oriented with strong organization skills
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Knowledge and/or participation in the sport of running a plus
- Previous retail experiences a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field or equivalent experience
Responsibilities: This position will have responsibilities in the fields of event marketing, social media and newsletter writing. All members of the marketing department are a part of a team with an overall goal of increasing sales through customer acquisition and customer retention. The marketing team handles the marketing and outreach for both Fleet Feet Sports locations.
The marketing department works many events that fall on evenings and weekends and often have weeks that extend beyond the five-day workweek. Fleet Feet Sports seeks a candidate with a strong work ethic who is willing to go the extra mile to create a great experience for our customers. The marketing team is a fun group environment that allows for creativity and growth.
In addition to the marketing responsibilities, all Fleet Feet Sports employees work the sales floor, helping our customers. This position will have 20 hours per week dedicated to the sales floor, with all necessary training done prior to starting in the marketing department.
