Starting Location: 101 Grand Ave, Glencoe, MO 63038 (trail head)
Parking Instructions - Plan on meeting at the La Salle Springs Middle School (3300 Missouri 109, Glencoe, MO 63038) parking lot starting at 7:00am. We will leave that lot promptly at 7:15am to head to the trail head. The 2nd paved parking lot will be our starting location (this is the one just before the mini train station and is the newest lot) - there is one at the corner of Washington and Grand when the main lot fills, and there are some gravel lots just past the train station closer to the trail itself you may use. Due to the size of our group though we are trying to cut down on congestion by using the car pool lot as this is a pretty regularly used trail, so please do so if you can. We will get the run started by 7:30am with a group photo down by the river.
Short: ~4.2 miles (1 loop)
Medium: ~6 miles (2 loops)
Long: ~10.5 miles (3 loops)
See course map below. Everyone will start off running up to the top of Bluff View Trail which is approx 2.1mi to the over look. From there, those going short will head straight back down the exact same way and back to the start to complete the short course. Those going medium and long will also head back down but towards the bottom there will be a trail on your LEFT that you will take (see the blue line on the map). This will go about 3/4 of a mile to your next major split where those running medium will stay RIGHT and follow it out to the paved Rock Hollow Trail while those going long will stay to their LEFT and continue along the single track trail for at least another 3 miles or so before it crosses the paved path. Medium course runners will simply turn RIGHT once the trail puts them on the paved path of Rock Hollow and follow that back down towards the Al Foster gravel path at which point is around a mile left to go or less, go straight and follow it back to the start. Those running long will cross over the paved path to to stay on the trail for at least another mile before we rejoin the paved path, turn LEFT and take that all the way back down towards the Al Foster gravel path and then finish the same as those going medium all the way back to the start.
