Run Description: 3 hours worth
Take advantage of the easier trails to give the body a little break and relax. If you want to mix in a little pace effort to get a feel for what you might like to aim for come race day then mix that in after getting your body warmed up a bit (be it a few miles in or perhaps an hour or so, whatever works for you). Now that we are in taper mode listen to your body - it's normal to have tired legs and aches here and there, now is the time to really take care of things and make sure that we are resting up so no need to hammer the flat portions and get in crazy distance as tempting as it may be....and with the decrease in our mileage don't be surprised if you feel like you have all this energy now....stay controlled.
Below are three maps to help give you an idea of the trail routes. The first map gives you a better idea of what the trails look like between the Sherman Beach parking lot and into Castlewood...the yellow circle marks where the washed out area is so just don't go beyond that. Everything is pretty flat to moderate rolling hills if any in this area...the hilly spot is if you run the Cedar Bluff View Trail which is roughly 2+ miles in length and requires you to go thru a tunnel to go under the train tracks - those of you who ran the Wildwood Trail Marathon they had you run it. The black dotted line is the paved Rock Hollow path as reference.
