Starting Location: 7293 Missouri 94, St Charles, MO 63304 - car pool lot @ Nuclear Waste Adventure Trail and Museum lot
Parking: Due to a smaller parking lot, we will do car pooling again to cut down on congestion. We will utilize the paved lot near the Nuclear Waste Adventure Trail & Museum. Plan on arriving here by 6:30am, check-in with your coaches and then promptly leaving here at 6:45am to head to the main trail lot which is roughly 4 miles down the road off highway 94 (turn RIGHT out of the paved lot, and look for the trail parking lot on your RIGHT, a gravel lot just past the Law Enforcement training facility). We will start the run at 7:00am.
Short course: 1 loop
Medium course: 1 loop
Long course: 2 loops
SEE MAP BELOW
Everyone starts together for just over 2 miles, at which point those going Medium and Long turn LEFT onto the single track trail and those going Short stay on the fire road.
Short course is running the reverse loop of what those running medium ran last time here.....so follow the fire road till you can turn RIGHT onto a grassy path with power lines...follow those till the trail curves into the woods. You will have a creek crossing and then eventually come back out on the old fire road - turn LEFT and head back to the parking lot to finish. You are done!
Medium and Long runners are running the reverse loop of what those who ran long out here last time....the trail is very straight forward so it will be awhile before you see some ribbons (follow ORANGE ribbon), just FYI. From when you first get on the single track trail you will go roughly around 4 miles till your next ribbon. The trail empties you onto a gravel path for about a mile or more, and then you can make a LEFT to hop back on the trails....you will also see a yellow trail sign at this point too, keep LEFT. This is roughly 1.5 miles left to go...once this trail spits you out onto the old fire road you ran up in the beginning, turn RIGHT and head back to the start. Medium course runners are done!
Those going Long have a second loop to get in the miles. Refuel if needed and then head back out, basically running the exact same loop as those who ran short...so follow PINK ribbons. You are done after this loop.
