Starting Location: 101 Grand Ave, Glencoe, MO 63038 (trail head)
Parking Instructions - The 2nd paved parking lot will be our starting location (this is the one just before the mini train station and is the newest lot) - there is one at the corner of Washington and Grand when the main lot fills, and there are some gravel lots just past the train station closer to the trail itself you may use.
Short course = 1 loop (~6mi-ish)
Medium course = 1 loop (~10mi-ish)
Long course = 2 loops (~14mi-ish)
Everyone will be running together about the first 4 miles following PINK flagging. At the first ORANGE flag, those going short will turn LEFT to stay with PINK flags and head out to the paved Rock Hollow path and then turn LEFT on that to head down the trail. Take the 2nd RIGHT on to the trail which will be the same spot you turned early on in the run after the mile....there will be PINK flags and BLUE flags here. Follow PINK and BLUE flags the rest of the way back to the parking lot to finish up. We will NOT be going up the Bluff View, otherwise that adds on at least 2 more miles. Short course is done after this and should be at least 6 miles or so.
Those going Medium and Long will run the first loop entirely the same....so after that 4 mi mark and you see the first ORANGE flag, keep RIGHT and stay on the trail for about another mile till you have to cross the paved path to continue on the dirt trail. That point is roughly your midway section on this loop. Now you will be on the west side of the Zombie trail and follow that all the way till it rejoins where the short course goes and you will see the PINK and BLUE flags....follow those the rest of the way back to the parking lot same as the Short course did. Medium course is done after this while those going Long will have 1 more shorter loop. This is roughly 10 miles or so.
Those going Long will simply have a 4 mile out and back loop as you will just run up to the overlook spot on the Bluff View trail, then turn around and come back down the way you ran. There will be a few ORANGE flags within that first half mile to help but otherwise this is a very straight forward path. After this you are done! Approximately 14 miles worth. :)
