Starting Location: Chubb Trail - Lone Elk Trailhead
Parking Information: Just before you enter the main entrance to the park, there is a gravel parking lot for the Chubb Trail up off to the right (before you have to physically drive over some grates into the park). Meet here.
Course Description: 2 loops, ~8 miles worth total
We will first run a short loop within Lone Elk Park, taking the road in briefly from where we meet then hopping on to the White Bison Trail. Run this CLOCKWISE back around and then take the road back up to where we started. This is roughly a little over 3 miles, depending on how nice your GPS is. This loop will be the ones with most of the hills today.
After that we will head out along the Chubb Trail from the parking lot and simply head out roughly 2.5 miles worth till you see several PINK flags marking your turn around - simply turn back and go the exact way you just came back to the car. This is an out and back loop to keep it simple. Some rocky patches, but otherwise mostly flat with the largest hill being near the start of this loop that you run down and then have to return up.
