
Fleet Feet Summer Speed School
Whether you’re looking for a routine that fits into your daily life or you’re in search of your next PR, this is the perfect program for you! Our 10-week Summer Speed School is designed to help you confidently reach your running goals at the 5k and 10k distances. Experienced coaches at Fleet Feet Seattle & Ballard are ready to lead you through curated workouts developed to build speed and endurance so that you can tackle your running goals!
This training program culminates with the Magnuson Summer Spirit Run on Saturday August 31st. Race registration is not included or required for this program!

Program Details
* Meet Coach Gabriel!
* Program Dates: June 17th - August 31st
* Cost: $160 plus taxes and fees.
* This summer program is designed for runners who are currently comfortable running/jogging 3 miles.
* Two weekly group practices on Monday and Wednesday evenings at 6:30pm.
* Monday workouts will take place at Ballard HS and Wednesday workouts will take place at Garfield HS.
* This program does not include a weekend long run!
Key Dates
* First Group Practice: Monday, June 17th
* Gear Up Weekends at Fleet Feet Seattle and Fleet Feet Ballard:
- June 15-16th, open to close.
- June 22-23rd , open to close.

Training Week (Example)
M - 10 minute warm up, Dynamic exercises, Tempo work*, 10 minute cool down, Core
T - Rest day or Easy run 3-5 miles
W - 10 minute warm up, Dynamic Exercises, Intervals*, 10 minute cool down
TH - Rest day or Easy run 3-5 miles
F - Moderate run, 4-7 miles
S - Optional: Long run on your own = 5-10 miles
S - Rest day
*Tempo = long interval repeats (1k, miles, tempo run) and perceived effort (PE) training.
*Ladders = 400-800m repeats, 200s, In/Out run, etc. More pace based workouts
