Half Marathon and 10-Mile Training Programs
The half marathon, at 21.1K or 13.1 miles, is a popular and rewarding activity for runners worldwide. The distance is a challenging but achievable goal for most runners, especially those who have some experience in intermediate distances such as 5-mile and 10-K races. The half marathon requires less training time and recovery than a full marathon, which can be more convenient for busy lifestyles. While the half marathon is often used as a stepping stone to prepare for a full marathon, it also stands as a satisfying accomplishment on its own. With many half-marathons being held in iconic or scenic locations, with cheering crowds, music, and entertainment along the course, it can be a rewarding, fun, and social experience.
For those not quite ready to step up to a half marathon, we also offer 15K (fall) and 10-Mile (spring and summer) training programs, often in conjunction with our half marathon training.
Our Half Marathon, 10-Mile and 15K Training Programs are typically 10-13 week programs (depending on season and goal race) and are designed to prepare runners and run/walkers for either a first-ever endurance event or a new PR. The program will educate on endurance training principles, run training discipline, mental skills training, hydration and nutrition, body awareness, pacing, and running autonomy.
