About This Program
Completing a trail race is an achievable goal for almost anyone, with a little bit of structured training. The same basic training principles apply when running on a trail or a road. To progress over the long term, reach your full potential, and stay injury-free, you must first build your aerobic base, then develop your ability to maintain a faster pace for a longer duration. Trail Running is a kind of sport that involves your whole body and, therefore, requires a good starting physiological shape and a mindset able to deal with unpredictable weather conditions and different trail tracks.
The Fleet Feet Trail Training Program will introduce you to all the basics, including the differences between long run, run/walk, recovery and "easy" pace, trail techniques, trail run nutrition and hydration, trail gear, trail footwear, trail clothing, and more!
It doesn’t matter how fast you run or how far you go. What's important is that you move. Whether you are new to trail running, trying to improve your trail race performance, or want to keep moving outdoors and off-road, our program will help you progress toward personal goals, wellness, and running success.
