High-Fives All Around

One of my favorite races of the year is upon us: the Yates Astro Resolution 5K Trail Run (yes, it’s a mouthful, but deal with it, people) is this Saturday, January 9 at 8:30!  Run along the marsh, jog past the striking chapel, and moo back at the cows as you trot through this beautiful course on the Bethesda property…just make sure you hop, skip and jump over/around the multitude of cow patties you’re liable to encounter along the way (or at least wear some recently-retired shoes if you’re not as agile as you once were).  Oh!  And grab yourself a free pancake breakfast as you await the results from what is likely your first race of the calendar year.  What better way to ring in your 2016 racing calendar?!

And speaking of races, high-fives all around are in order for the lovely and talented Tessa Jones and Melissa Ramsey, two of our resident C.R.E.W. rock stars, who had huge PRs this past weekend at the rainy and cold Jacksonville Bank Marathon; we couldn’t be more proud of you both, and look forward to your continued—and fast—success (and for the rest of the Savannah contingent that traveled down to Jacksonville to run this past weekend…well, you did a-ok, too).
