Winter/Spring 5K Training Program

Training is easier (and more fun) with friends! 

With Fleet Feet’s Intro to 5K Training Program , you’ll find a holistic training plan to help you cross the finish line feeling empowered. 

Training for a race isn’t just about logging miles. It’s about learning to challenge yourself incrementally, tackling different types of runs, building strength and making space for rest and recovery. So join us for our flagship training plan this fall, where you and your fellow runners will bond as you train, learn and improve together, with plenty of support along the way. 

Kick off your 2026 with the introduction to 5K training plan, which will lead up to the Beach and Bay Race Series on April 11, 2026. This group, which remains a fan favorite among community participants, is designed to get you up and moving in order to successfully complete a 5K race at any pace. This group will meet Tuesdays at 6:15pm and Saturdays at 8am every week, while additional days of cross-training and running are built into the schedule to help you achieve success both during guided and solo runs. 

Here’s what you can expect:

• 12 weeks of twice-weekly group training sessions with our expert coaches 
• In-person support from our extensive group of coaches and mentors to provide guidance, accountability, camaraderie and fun
• Warmup and cool down exercises to make every run smoother
• Resources to help you build weekly strength routines to make you strong and resistant to injury
• Mobility and cross-training exercises to balance your training
• Tips from your coaching staff and exclusive guest speakers on gear, nutrition, recovery, mobility and more
