With Fleet Feet’s 12K Training Program , you’ll find a holistic training plan to help you cross the finish line feeling empowered.
Training for a race isn’t just about logging miles. It’s about learning to challenge yourself incrementally, tackling different types of runs, building strength and making space for rest and recovery. So join us for our middle ground training program this fall, where you and your fellow runners will bond as you train, learn and improve together, with plenty of support along the way.
The 12K training program is designed specifically to help you build up mileage safely, confidently, and consistently, leading up to the Silver Strand Race Series on November 8th, 2026. The 12K program, designed with the intermediate to experienced runner in mind, has been built out to combine your existing running know-how and speed sessions to have your best running season yet. Our coaching staff will be there every step of the way to help you take your current running abilities and fine-tune them in pursuit of either your next 5K PR or your best 12K performance.
The best part? No matter your pace or goal, you can show up with all your friends! All three of our current training groups will meet on Tuesdays at 6:15pm and Saturdays at 8am every week, while additional days of cross-training and running are built into the schedule to help you achieve success both during guided and solo runs. So whether you want to cross the finish line faster than you did last year, or simply want to give yourself a stepping stone to help you prepare to take the plunge and tackle a half marathon down the line, you'll be given all the tools to meet your goals head on.

- 12 weeks of twice-weekly group training sessions with our expert coaches
- In-person support from our extensive group of coaches and mentors to provide guidance, accountability, camaraderie and fun
- Warmup and cool down exercises to make every run smoother
- Resources to help you build weekly strength routines to make you strong and resistant to injury
- Mobility and cross-training exercises to balance your training
