New Shoe: New Balance Vongo

Since the New Balance 980, the first shoe with a Fresh Foam midsole, New Balance has introduced hit shoe after hit shoe.  The Fresh Foam series has pushed New Balance past the days of grey and white walkers that all grandparents owned to light, soft, and clean running shoes that have gain extensive attention in the running industry.

This week New Balance introduced the New Balance Vongo, the first stability shoe with a Fresh Foam midsole.  The Vongo is designed to replace the New Balance 870.  Wearers of the Brooks Ravena, Saucony Guide, or Nike Lunar Glide will find a similarly supported trainer that feels lighter yet still plush.  In order to create the stability support New Balance "overstuffed" the medial side of the shoe with Fresh Foam, instead of adding a posted piece like most other light stabliy shoes.  The "overstuffed" Fresh Foam was designed to create a smoother ride and a less noticeable yet still supported stability component.
