Join to receive 10 weeks of coaching for the Women's Fitness Festival 5K or 10K. Training groups meet twice per week in Sacramento, Davis, and Elk Grove. Prefer to train on your own? Register for online coaching!
Stay accountable with a training plan complete with daily assignments for running, walking, cross training, and recovery. Work with Fleet Feet coaches on speed, endurance, running mechanics, fueling, hydration, and more.

Women's Fitness Festival 5K and 10K Training
Description: 10-week training program guided by a daily training plan and led by Fleet Feet coaches. Choose either in-person training or online coaching.
Goal Event: Women's Fitness Festival 5K & 10K
Duration: 10 weeks
Dates: March 28 - June 5, 2022
Daily assignments for running, cross training, and recovery. Weekly runs consist of easy runs, speed workouts, and long runs. See below for recommended fitness level.
In-Person Programs Only: Days, Times, and Locations
Choose one weekday training run and one weekend training run each week.
Sacramento: Wednesdays at 5:45 AM and 6:00 PM; Saturdays at 7:30 AM. Most runs take place in Land Park or along the American River Parkway.
Davis and Elk Grove: Wednesdays at 6:00 PM; Saturdays at 7:30 AM. Most runs start at Fleet Feet Davis/Elk Grove or local parks.
The Fleet Feet VIP Experience

On race day, the training-group-only VIP zone will offer private restrooms, complementary beer and food, free massage, and an unmatched view of the finish line and the Sacramento skyline!
Recommended Fitness Level
Starting Mileage: ~3 miles for 10K trainees, ~4 miles for half marathon trainees
Recommended fitness level: Ability to complete 30-45 minutes of continuous running or run/walking, 3-4 times per week, for at least 2 months prior to joining the program
Fleet Feet's team of experienced coaches will keep track of your progress, keep you motivated, and give you individualized feedback along the way. If you're training in one of the in-person groups, you'll have the opportunity to work with coaches one-on-one at the group runs. If you're in the online coaching program, you can message your coaches throughout the week and set up Zoom calls to dive deeper into your training.

Your 10-week training plan will provide daily assignments for running/walking, cross training, strength work, and recovery. The plan is periodized to gradually increase overall training volume while offering opportunities for your body to build back stronger, week after week.
The camaraderie of training with a group week after week will take your training to the next level. When the training gets more rigorous, you'll have the collective strength of the group to keep you moving forward. When you crush a key workout, the group will be there to celebrate your achievement. And on those early mornings when you just don't feel like getting out of bed, the training group will keep you accountable.
