The Half Marathon (13.1 miles) training program is designed to further runners towards their fitness and running goals beyond the 5K and 10K distances but runners should be able to run 3-5 miles prior to the training program. It will include an education and practical impact of different training techniques and tools in order to further enjoy running and improve your performance. There will be occasional clinics covering a wide range of topical issues on running, health, wellness and nutrition from the area’s leading experts. The training group will meet on Tuesday nights at 6:30 pm and Saturday mornings at 7 am, each session will start from Fleet Feet unless advised in advance. Due to the nature of the training and the distances involved there will be more than one occasion where the training program may take place at alternate locations around Round Rock and Austin. Tuesday night runs will focus on speed or hill work and Saturday runs will focus on building distance. You will also receive a complete weekly schedule with 5 days of workouts listed to help prepare you for the challenge of running 13.1 miles. INFORMATION NIGHT- THURSDAY, October 5th 6:30 PM AT FLEET FEET ROUND ROCK this will include general information about the program and give you a chance to meet the coaches and mentors.
Training dates: October 10th - January 21st 2024
Gear Day: Thursday, October 19th. On this day you will receive a 10% discount on purchases excluding electronics. Please let your salesperson know you are part of the training group.
Run Club Price: $75
Each participant will receive a coin per in-person check-in, each coin is equal to 1 dollar in the store during the training session.
Each participant will also receive a Fleet Feet t-shirt.
2 group training sessions per week held on Tuesdays at 6:30 PM and Saturday at 7:00 AM
Training plans emailed weekly, along with a Facebook page used for updates, group discussions, and positive encouragement.
