DUE TO COVID-19, WE ARE NOT SCHEDULING ANY WOMEN'S SAFETY CLINICS AT THIS TIME. We appreciate your understanding, and we look forward to hosting these clinics once we safely can again. Stay safe and healthy!

Sgt. Jennifer Boswell, Assistant Academy Director with Roanoke City Police Department, and her team have designed these clinics to help you recognize bad situations and to have a mental plan in order to survive. Participants are taught simple crime prevention tips, as well as basic defensive tactics with the aim of getting away from an attacker so they can call for help. We partner with the RPD to host these clinics throughout the year. Your safety is our #1 concern.
Women's Safety Clinic - Level 1
Come on out to Level 1 and learn simple crime prevention tips, how to avoid certain sitatuations, and what to do if you're in them. This class will be half lecture-style and half hands-on learning defense positions and moves.
Women's Safety Clinic - Level 2
If you aren't able to make it to the Level 1 clinic, don't worry! You can start with this clinic. There will be a briefing at the beginning of class of what was covered in Level 1, then we'll get straight to business with hands-on defense tips!
Classes will be capped at 40. Once a class is full, we will offer a wait list. We will contact by phone if you make it off the wait list.
Please arrive early to sign a waiver and enter a raffle to win a Fleet Feet gift certificate.
Thank you Sgt. Boswell and the Roanoke City Police Department for putting on these clinics!
