Dan began running at the age of 15 in his hometown of Charlottesville, VA at Western Albemarle High School. After running varsity for four years at D-1 High Point University, Dan took a few years off running but restarted training after moving to Richmond. If he is not running Dan is spending quality time with his daughters Alex and Cameron or saving lives through his work with Be The Match (bethematch.org). If you see Dan at a race or running in Richmond, let him know you're favorite Star Wars character... he has a lot of opinions about who are the best and worst characters.

Hi! My name is Gabi W. and I have been on the Fleet Feet Racing team for the past 4 years. I am from Fairfax, VA, went to undergrad at UVA and then moved to Richmond for grad school. After graduating with my Masters in 2016, I stayed in Richmond, joined the Fleet Feet Racing Team, and currently work at the Richmond Veterans Administration Medical Center as the Managerial Cost Accounting Site Manager. My favorite race distance is the half marathon, but I do enjoy the marathon as well! My 2020 run goals include breaking 1:24 in the half marathon and 3:05 in the marathon. I had a very successful 2019 so I cannot wait to see what I can do in 2020! I love to travel, go to the beach and explore new places (while running!). My favorite places to run in Richmond are the Fan, West End, and anywhere that I can get away from the traffic. Richmond has so many amazing restaurants to choose from, but if I had to choose a few they would be Stella’s, Yaya Cookbook and Beijing on Grove.

Hi, I’m Carissa. I have lived in Glen Allen for about 4 years. My family and I moved from Wilmington, NC. I’ve been active my whole life (ballet, field hockey, track and field). After college, I wanted to stay in shape so I started 5k racing. That’s when I fell in love with running. Every year I set goals for the year. This year I want to get a PR in a 5k. I really like running 5k because they are short and fast. And I’m able to train while having 2 little boys at home. Time management is very important. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for 2020.
