One Month Out from the Richmond 8k, Half, and Full Marathon!

The day has finally come! We are just a month away from one of the biggest days of the year in the Richmond running community! What day is it, you ask? We're closing in on the Richmond 8k, Half, and Full Marathon. What an exciting time it is for training! Are you prepared for race day? Keep in mind, it's not too late to get a fresh pair of shoes if yours are nearing that 300-500 mile mark. Also, have you found a nutrition option that works for you? You've likely been experimenting during training, but now is the time to really zone in on those options that sit well in your stomach and help you perform at an optimal level.

Now, on to one of the most important questions, are you experiencing any aches or pains after all of the training you've put in? If it's one of the more common running injuries, such as shin splints, plantar fasciitis, or Achilles tendonitis, we have tools that can help! Stop in and see us to let one of our knowledgeable staff members explain how these options can really make a difference in your training. You don't have to be running in pain!

Finally, yes it's a little early to be thinking about outfits as we don't know exactly what the weather will be like on race day, but have you considered a few options for the big day? It's important to run in clothes and gear that you know work well for you while you're out there running. The last thing you want is to experience uncomfortable chafing or rubbing while you're on the course.

Well, that about does it with some of our most important tips. Who out there is going to be running on November 15th? Do you have any tips we're forgetting? Good luck to all participating!
