Starts Tuesday, November 12th
This is a 6-week training program for people who have participated in one of our previous trail programs, or who are comfortable running single-track trails in the Triangle area.
Pre-requisites: This is NOT a beginner program, and some trail running experience is required. Ideally, participants will have completed one of our previous trail running programs in the past, or run regularly on singletrack trails in the Triangle area including but not limited to: Umstead State Park, Eno River State Park, Mountains to Sea Trail, Carolina North Forest, and Lake Crabtree County Park.
Meeting Days: Tuesdays at 6:00pm and Saturdays at 7:30am. Most Tuesday runs will start at either Umstead State Park or the Old Reedy Creek Road trailhead in Cary. Headlamps are required for Tuesday night runs. Saturday morning runs will be at various locations in the Triangle area, and you will receive a calendar of the locations for each run at the beginning of the program.
Dogs are not allowed at any training run.
Cost: $75. Includes – training plan, coached runs, educational seminars, yummy goodies, sponsor discounts in store.
First Workout: Tuesday, November 12th at 6:00pm. Umstead State Park - Reedy Creek Entrance at Harrison Avenue.
Goal distance: 3 - 4 miles for Tuesday evening runs, 6 - 8 miles for Saturday morning runs, depending on location, terrain, and technicality of trails.
Our goal race will be the Pilot Mountain Goat (3 or 7 mile options).
