Staying active is one of the best ways to keep your immune system at the top of it's game, and in times of heightened stress it becomes even more important to have a physical outlet. Luckily, you don't need a gym to get a challenging, full-body workout! Several of our local fitness partners have provided online, mostly free, access to at-home workouts, virtual instructor-led fitness classes, and self-guided outdoor or treadmill interval training to keep our community healthy.
YMCA of the Triangle: The Y's Virtual YMCA offers free access to yoga classes, barre classes, and bootcamps led by regional YMCA instructors, as well as a subscription option for a more robust selection of classes. There are also free educational activities for kids and nutrion information for families.
Shred415: The local instructors at Shred415 Raleigh are posting a 15-minute, total body workout in their "Insiders" Facebook group each day, which can be paired with step-by-step workouts shared daily on Instagram @Shred415raleigh. These include treadmill intervals, strength routines, and outdoor runs. Plus you can find more by following the Shred415 national page.
F45 Training: The team at F45 Five Points is also posting daily HIIT workouts to Instagram. Two sets of each move and two "laps" of the full routine with rest in between add up to a full 45-minute session.
Tread Happy: The Raleigh treadmill studio Tread Happy is offering paid audio class packages which can be run outside or on a treadmill. Each class includes a playlist, coaching, and a bonus circuit workout.
