26.2 Full Marathon Training

Train for the Los Angeles Marathon!
Looking to check off that important "bucket list" item and race the infamous 26.2 miles, or ready to get back on the roads for another? If you're ready, then so are we. Training for long distance endurance runs can be arduous. But, with the help of an expert coach who has completed multiple marathons, and the support of a close-knit running community, the hard work you put into those training miles becomes a rewarding and lasting memory. Lace up those shoes and let's hit the roads together.
This 15-week training program is for advanced-intermediate participants who run regularly, and have a solid foundational mileage base.
In addition to detailed training plans, the program incorporates educational components, speakers, weekly email communication, expert coaching, mentoring, and pacing to help inspire and motivate you along the journey. Your coach will instruct you on proper running form, hydration, nutrition, best shoe strategy, the right gear and apparel, strength and cross training, and mileage/pace improvement.

TIMES AND LOCATION
Meetings: Sundays at 8:30 am and Thursdays at 6:30 pm
Location: Fleet Feet Store, 234 Main Street, Pleasanton
From time to time, workouts may be scheduled at different locations for variety and special practice sessions. Changes are announced in advance.

At the start of the program, participants should be regular runners, able to finish a half-marathon using 4:1 run/walk intervals or better. Adequate weekly training time on your own is needed to supplement the group workouts.
Participants must be 18 years or older and have no active injuries
Participants must use reflective safety gear for any nighttime workouts
Each session limited to 30 participants
No refunds after first day of training
Training fee does not include any race entry fees or travel costs
