It has been almost a year since we discussed the psychology behind creating lasting habits, so it’s time to revisit the topic while revising our framework. Not only do we need to equip ourselves for success, but we also need to set ourselves up to succeed.
Choose an activity you know you can accomplish; it can be as simple as making your bed or walking for 20 minutes a day. The point is that your activity or task is well within reach and easy to perform; you are setting yourself up by winning at something every day.
Ideally your “win” will come first thing in the morning, and the positive effects will build momentum. This is why it’s important to choose something manageable and not overly complex. Get the easy win early, so you are more likely to achieve difficult wins later on.
Run well,
