GR8toDON8, in its seventh year, is the premier organ and tissue donation awareness event in east-Central Florida. This unique timed 8k run and untimed 5k walk/run allows the running community and the donation/transplantation community to come together in support of one great cause – to celebrate those who have received the Gift of Life and to honor those who have given the Gift of Life through organ and tissue donation as well as to educate our community about the importance one “yes” makes.
Proceeds from this race go directly back into the community to assist with donation education to the 3.8 million people in TransLife’s 10-county service area as well as support additional donation and transplantation initiatives such as a Donor Memorial wall at Orlando Regional Medical Center. TransLife is east-Central Florida’s federally designated organ and tissue donation program and is responsible for increasing awareness and visibility of donation within its service area.
We are thrilled to be in our seventh year and looking forward to the biggest and best year yet! See you out there!
