Insole Fitting Process

Insoles are an excellent way to provide personalized cushioning and support for an already great pair of running shoes. Additionally, our insoles can help alleviate pain from common running injuries like plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendonitis and shin splints, while also offering relief for your arches, ankles, knees, hips and lower back. We encourage everyone to try a pair of insoles to experience the benefits of a personalized fit, reduced arch fatigue, increased shock absorption and enhanced movement efficiency. The Fleet Feet fit id® Outfitting Process

Our insole fitting involves the same state-of-the-art scanning technology as our Shoe Fitting Process. First, our fit id® 3D scanner uses a set of specialized cameras to capture 12 precise data points to construct a 3D image of your foot. Second, we utilize a specialized pressure plate to analyze your gait pattern and pressure points, which we call our Dynamic Pressure Mapping system. Third, using your combined scan, outfitters will create a profile of your foot to best recommend an insole (and shoe, if you’re in the market for a new pair) for your particular foot. Lastly, you can try on insoles in store to feel the difference.

ME3D Personalized Insoles from Superfeet

If you're after an even more personalized insole, Fleet Feet New York City is happy to offer ME3D personalized insoles from Superfeet. Using our 3D fit id® foot scanning technology and our Dynamic Pressure Mapping system, we are able to share those scans with Superfeet to create custom insoles just for your feet.
