With hundreds of thousands impacted by Winter Storm Fern, there's much to be done before we're back to business as usual in Nashville and Middle Tennessee. The ice storm knocked out power across the region with many still suffering the effects. And while our stores were finally able to open for limited hours on Tuesday, our team has felt the cost of being closed for multiple days. As we look ahead we want to give you some insight into our plan and hopefully provide resources for those still displaced.
Do you Need or Can You Provide Help?
Our friends at Community Resource Center have partnered with Metro Nashville's Office of Emergency Management to collect and distribute resources to those in need. Take a look at the items suggested for donation and sign up to get involved.
Do you or someone you know need warm shelter? All Nashville Fire Stations and Police Precincts are open 24/7 until further notice. The city is also offering safe transport to those who need it. To request transportation call: 615-401-1712 and please be prepared to provide this information:
- Your name
- Your current location
- The number of people needing transportation
- Are there special needs or mobility concerns?
- Do you have pets? (pets are allowed for transportation)
Additional warming shelters can be found at:
- Nashville Fairgrounds: 401 Wingrove St (Overnight capability).
- Community Centers:
- Southeast Regional Community Center (5260 Hickory Hollow Pkwy, Suite 202).
- Madison Community Center (550 N Dupont Ave).

What's next for Fleet Feet Nashville?
We are very grateful for the dedicated line workers at Nashville Electric and Middle Tennessee Electric who have been working tirelessly to restore power. All six stores now have power again and we were able to open for limited hours on Tuesday. While many of our staff of 117 are still waiting to regain power, our stores provide a warm spot to recharge and connect. Thank you to all who stopped by and we hope we were a bright spot in your day.
Over the next several days we will continue to monitor conditions and adjust store hours as necessary. Here is the plan for Wednesday, January 28:
- Brentwood 12 - 4
- Cool Springs 12 - 4
- Green Hills 12 - 4
- Hendersonville 12 - 4
- Mt Juliet 12 - 4
- Murfreesboro 10 - 5
As you are starting to get back into your regular routines, please consider shopping at local retailers like Fleet Feet Nashville rather than online or big box stores – every in-store sale counts and makes a difference for our staff and business. We appreciate our customers and can't wait to run with you again soon!
