A Note From Our Battlefield Rangers

Image may contain: grass, outdoor and nature

We hope that everyone who participated in the July 4th freedom run reached their goal over the weekend.

We loved seeing all your photos and hearing about your run experiences. Running brings people together to help communities grow, thrive and strengthen! We are proud to be surrounded by so many strong and dedicated runners, walkers and active people in our town! As we are getting outside more often and perhaps trying new pathways, sceneries and routes, let us please be mindful and diligent about taking care of beautiful city and outdoor spaces.
It was brought to our attention that there was litter & unauthorized road markings at the Stones River Battlefield over the weekend, and though we know none of our running participants would intentionally leave any of our Murfreesboro parks in poor conditions, post run, we have been asked to address the instance.
We appreciate every one of you who proudly participate in local events and exude the sense of community that makes Murfreesboro so unique! Let’s keep doing all we can to keep our city and parks pristine and beautiful for everyone to enjoy!
Have a fantastic week everyone!! Keep running and spreading the joy of it!
