Ready to shift gears in your training? Get ready to get fast with our 6-Week Speed Series!
Don't let the name make you nervous. No matter your running speed or distance, the workouts in this program are designed to meet you where you are - and help you get stronger and faster.
We will offer three levels:
- Level 1: you are currently comfortable going 1-3 miles
- Level 2: comfortable at 3-6 miles
- Level 3: comfortable at 6+ miles
Our Speed Series program is a great way to stay race ready and mix up your weekly running miles while becoming a more well-rounded runner.
Speed Sessions are designed to coach participants in:
- Increasing speed
- Improving form
- Developing core strength
- Overall body strengthening
Throughout the training we will challenge your legs as well as your heart and lungs as you push yourself to get faster, stronger, and more efficient. Prepare to be surprised by all that you can accomplish!
Who? Participants in the Speed Series should be ready to push themselves in training. This program is truly designed for participants who are eager to take their training to the next level, regardless of their speed.
What? A series of coached track workouts, hill repeats, plyometrics, core workouts, form work, and strengthening exercises will enable you to improve your race time. This program will also help you to speed your recovery for distance running varying from the 5K on up to the Marathon.
Where? Meet at Fleet Feet Mount Pleasant
When? Tuesdays at 6:30 pm from April 6 through May 11
How? Each participant needs to:
- Register online
- Bring a water bottle and towel to practice
- Be prepared to work!
