Originally from Durham, NC, Colleen has lived a lot of places up and down the East Coast. She arrived in Charleston in 2020 for a job teaching Spanish and Linguistics at College of Charleston.
Outside of the time she spends at Fleet Feet and teaching, Colleen enjoys running and training for marathons; going to the beach with her sweet hound Magnolia; cooking and baking; and reading. She is currently training for the Berlin Marathon at the end of September. Her primary running goals are getting back to running more regularly and making it a bigger part of her daily routine.
When asked what she loves about working at Fleet Feet she reflected, "I think one of my favorite parts of working at Fleet Feet has been helping people (walkers and runners alike) find a pair of shoes that makes their feet feel good. We wear shoes everyday and when we have a pair that makes us feel good, it completely changes our mood and outlook. I love when I am able to help someone who has come in with pain leave with a big smile on their face, saying how much better their feet feel."
More fun facts about Colleen! Her extended family isn't too far away in North Carolina, and she is fluent in Spanish and has lived in both Spain and Chile.
We are excited to have her on our team!
