Alicia grew up in a small town in the Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia, and also lived in New England and Montreal, Canada. She moved to Summerville in 2015 with her two kids and three dogs - Bleu, Parmesan, and Provolone - to escape the snow and be closer to the beach.
Her world outside of work is largely focused on her kids. Alicia volunteers with the Charleston Youth Hockey Association and the Charleston Colonials Hockey teams. Her son is a goalie for the 14U AA Junior Stingrays travel hockey team.
Running goals? Getting back to a work/life “balance” that allows her to have the time to focus on fitness. Goals include running 5K multiple times a week as a part of her overall fitness routine. A broader reaching goal that Alicia is pursuing it to obtain her personal training certification and work with adolescent and teen athletes.
What is her favorite part about working at Fleet Feet? The support from teammates (because they are more than co-workers) helps provide the best experience for each customer who walks in the door. The focus on the big picture of team success creates a positive and fun working environment. Alicia has a BS in Sports Medicine Exercise Science and loves being able to use bits and pieces of her degree to help customers in getting shoes to help them in their own personal fitness goals.
