Trailblazers Trail Running Program will be offering a training program for the Ft. Ord 25K and 50K in partnership with Fleet Feet Aptos, providing quality coaching and awesome camaraderie for trail lovers of all paces! If racing this event isn't your goal but you love being part of a trail running community, Trailblazers is for you too! As you register here for Trailblazers, simply select from the 25K training program, 50K training program, or Trailblazers Trail Running Club in the Info Request Section to choose which track is right for you.
*For your safety and success, we do ask that Trailblazers who are training for the Ft. Ord 25K be comfortable running 8-10 miles on trails and 10-13 miles on roads at the start of the program, with a weekly mileage base of 20-25 miles/week, and Ft. Ord 50K program members be comfortable running 16-18 miles on trails and 20 miles on roads, with a weekly mileage base of at least 30 miles per week, at the time of the program's start. There is no required base mileage to join the Trailblazers Trail Running Club - General, although we recommend getting clearance from your doctor, being in strong and healthy physical condition, and being able to sustain cardio movement (hiking or running) for at least 30 minutes comfortably at the beginning of the program.*
