Fleet Feet Mishawaka Ambassador Team
The Fleet Feet Ambassador Team is a group of individuals who represent Fleet Feet core values with their words and actions. The goal of the Ambassador Team is to help and assist Fleet Feet in growing the running community in our city, supporting Fleet Feet sponsored events, and using personal resources (such as social media) to promote the store and sponsored events.
This application will be for membership in the Ambassador Team from January 1, 2026 - December 31, 2026. The application will close on Friday, November 21, 2025. With Ambassadors announced on December 6, 2025. There are limited spots available!
What does it take?
As a Fleet Feet Ambassador, there will be a list of requirements to earn and maintain your Ambassador status and all of the perks that come with it. The list is as follows:
1. Volunteer a minimum of 20 hours during your term (January 1–December 31, 2026). This averages just two hours per month and can include helping at Fleet Feet–hosted events, sponsored races, in-store clinics, themed runs, or expos.
- Ambassadors who choose to mentor a training program should also plan to volunteer at other events during the year—mentoring counts toward your hours but should not be your sole form of volunteering.
- Volunteer opportunities span all seasons through our Race Series, so there are many ways to stay involved year-round.
- Our most successful ambassadors are those who stay engaged, not just at the start or end of the year, but throughout.
- We’ll provide an easy way to log your volunteer hours throughout the year. This helps us recognize your contributions and ensure everyone meets their 20-hour commitment.
4. In addition to Fleet Feet branded apparel, you must also be wearing a shoe brand that Fleet Feet carries. Remember, this program is for super-fans of Fleet Feet and this role is to support the efforts we’re making to grow the running and walking community in our area. If you’re not wearing gear from our store, why would anyone else?
5. When in attendance at a Fleet Feet event or when engaging someone on social media, we ask that you support the offerings of the store. If someone asks you for shoe advice, send them to us! If someone wants to know about a good headlamp, send them to us! If they are grieving about blisters, send them to us! Try to avoid sending them to competitor websites or Amazon.
*A note to this: Because we are the experts in these areas, we would never recommend something to someone that isn’t an actual solution for them. When they win, we win!
6. Lastly, we ask that while you are enrolled in the Fleet Feet Ambassador program, you take initiative to represent us on your social channels. Great times to do this would be to snap some photos during Fleet Feet events or Fleet Feet sponsored events and post with our official hashtags: #fleetfeetmishawaka and #runningchangeseverything and tag us @fleetfeetmishawaka.
What do I get out of this?

Co-Captain Positions:
As our involvement in community races and events continues to grow, so does our need for additional support. Co-Captains will help manage key areas of event operations and serve as the primary point of contact for the following responsibilities:
1. Race Setup/Teardown (Leprechaun Chase, Big Run, Flannel 5k, etc.) – 2 Co-Captains Needed- You will lead and coordinate all ambassadors assisting with race setup and teardown.
- Ensure that all volunteer roles are filled and everything is set up on time.
- Oversee teardown and packing up post-event.
- Jenn will provide you with all necessary materials; your role is to execute the setup and teardown smoothly.
- Manage ambassadors for packet pickup both the evening before and the morning of each race.
- Ensure volunteer roles are covered and the packet pickup process runs smoothly.
- Coordinate the distribution of materials and maintain a welcoming environment for participants.
- Oversee ambassadors assisting with expo setup and vendor tents.
- Ensure volunteer roles are covered from expo setup to teardown.
- Assist vendors in finding their dedicated locations and ensuring they have everything they need.
- For Sunburst, you’ll help manage the expo setup up the day before and a smaller setup on race morning at the Century Center parking lot.
- For Leprechaun Chase and Big Run, responsibilities will also include Fleet Feet t-shirt sales and vendor assistance.
These Co-Captains will ensure smooth operations at each event, freeing up Jenn to manage other critical aspects. Each position comes with a checklist of duties for every event, and Co-Captains will be the go-to resource for ambassadors and volunteers. We’re seeking individuals with flexible schedules, as events occur at varying times—mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekdays, and weekends.
While we need two Co-Captains per area, both don’t need to attend every event. This structure allows for flexibility; if one Co-Captain is unavailable, the other can cover the event. Both Co-Captains can also attend when needed.
