Welcome to the Fuel Your Miles Training Program!
Fuel Your Miles is a beginner-friendly spring training program built on community, accountability, and simple, practical nutrition education for runners and walkers. Over the course of 7–9 weeks, you’ll build confidence, create consistency, and learn how to fuel your body for energy, performance, and recovery.
The program kicks off on April 22 and leads into the Treasure Valley Rescue Run 5/10K on June 6, with the option to continue training alongside the group for two additional weeks. Participants can stay connected through a continuity meetup on June 13 and choose to cap off their experience with the Caldwell Classic 5K on June 20.
Designed to be flexible and approachable, Fuel Your Miles meets you where you are. Saturday group runs accommodate a wide range of abilities, with distances from approximately half a mile up to six miles—making it a great fit for beginners, walkers, run/walk participants, and anyone looking to build a consistent routine. While training together, participants will also learn simple, practical fueling strategies to support energy, recovery, and performance. Wednesday meetups rotate between workshops, mini-seminars, discussions, and community potlucks, covering topics such as macronutrients, carbohydrates, hydration, electrolytes, and fueling for runs.

- TWO OPTIONS TO END: Saturday, June 6th at the 4th Annual Treasure Valley Rescue Run or Saturday, June 20th at the Caldwell Classic 5K!

- PRICE: $80 (a $500 VALUE!!)
- DISTANCE: 5K, 10K
- EXPERIENCE LEVEL: This is open to athletes of all levels
- Beginners (New 5K or 10K runners)
- Intermediate (Athletes that have ran 5Ks and 10Ks before)
- Advanced (Athletes that are looking to improve their personal best in the 5K or 10K)

- 2 in-person weekly coached training sessions (NOTE: You are not required to join us at every session. Coach A.K. is happy to work with your schedule to build a training plan! Email ak@fleetfeetmeridian.com with any scheduling questions!)

MEET YOUR COACH!
A.K Whittaker (EMAIL) - HEAD COACH

A.K. Whittaker’s biggest running dream is to complete all six Abbott World Marathon Majors. She already has four under her belt, including Boston in 2018, New York City in 2019, Chicago in 2023, and London in 2025. She is now working toward Berlin in 2027, which will mark her fifth Abbott World Marathon Major.
To top it all off, A.K. proudly earned the title of stroller marathoner after completing the Every Woman’s Marathon in Scottsdale, AZ last year with her favorite little running buddy along for the ride.
